                                  It is usual that some part of the country is on the  grip of wild fire due to vast forest areas and hilly surroundings with tall big trees .Catching of fire is quite easy  with breeze assisting the guttings. Smokes are easily carried by the breeze which normally obstructs  the vision when you  drive on roads! One has to be very careful on such occasions. Smokes also enter your houses in extreme cases.You can see the fire far away and smoke nearby  simultaneously. It is advisable to keep the doors of the house shut until the fire and smoke die down.Yet another beauty of nature is that  in  some mornings or evenings we see a heavy overcast. We will be looking for a heavy downpour in a  few minutes But no such  thing will happen. What cling on the sky are not pregnant clouds but smogs , to your utter disappointment..On   a particular day , I  hope it was 9 th  September  at  day time 12 30 pm, there was complete darkness  caused by  both smog  as well as smoke ( due to wild fire )  occuring simultaneously . It was as if on a  total solar  eclipse day !  Some time of the day we felt landed in Mars! You will not believe if I write this darkness continued uptothe third day. Sun  not visible, nor the moon in the night, no, cloud and no rain.! We were happy to see the Sun on the third day making us come  back to our own planet.

                   Duboy  was a safe haven for  the conduct of  I P L Cricket match compared to many other countriess in this pandemic sticken period . Normally it aughtnto have been conducted in India but could not be done due to the unfavourable  atmosphere..  I P L 20  started  in the last week of September and ended in the first week of November. Every morning , play started exactly at 7 am and ended by 10 30 am of US time.

                    As I wrote previously ,American General Election is round the corner. America chooses Her President once in four years. November 3rd  is the date of  Election and the newly elected President will assume office on January 20 th.. These date are fixed for every election.  There are a lot of differences in the Election processes between India and US. . I am not explaining in great detail but point out one or two. In India,  a registered voter will be allowed to vote only  on the specified date of  voting between  the specified time limits. He will be informed of  his booth of voting .where he has to wait in the queue along with other voters for a long time. When your turn comes , your documents will be verified , satisfying which you  will be allowed to cast your vote.Here in America, one need not wait in the queue for long hours.  For each county , there will be an official Election office. You enter the office with all your supporting  documents to prove the genuinness of your voter right. The actual voting process  commences one week earlier and a voter can cast his vote on any time of the day from 27th October in between upto 3rd November 5pm.Your vote will be digitally recorded in the office.  If you  are not in a position to go to the  Election office, you can cast your vote by post. The current President Donald Trump and Joe Biden are in the Presidential race, The latter was the vice President when Barrack Obama was the privious term. They belong to the Democratic party  where as Trump is a Republican.
