                                               11th  March , Wednesday had  an ideal weather condition for an outing. The Sun was bright  through out and the evening was pleasant without much of cold.C and myself left home at  4  30 pm . We picked up Aaraadhanaa from her play school and directly went  to the Catemeran  Park, which was a vast pleasant area with a lot of greenace , surrounded by water body , a number of shady trees , captivating roads and over bridges . The park consists of suitable playgrounds for  different plays like foot ball, volley ball, basket  ball, tennis and base ball.All these grounds are fully engaged by young and old.It has a smooth well  laid footpath ideal for walking. Cand A  played for an hour. I was walking through the path using walker.The entire  park  was filled up with a great crowd of  Americans  young and old, distributed in the grounds of their play of interest. We were also able to witness a lot of people running or walking or cycling.Sports plays a very important role in American life in general. 

                    On our way back home,  we also  visited four more parks in the vicinity of Fostercity   Some important parks nearby are Beach park,Shore bird Park,Ferregut Park,Booth bay Park and Sea 

cloud Park.

 Karadai Nonbu was celebtrated on Saturday 14-03-2020 with all religious formalities by Harini and delicious nonbadai was prepared as stipulated for the day.It was a rainy and chilly day. Next day,Sunday was Sunny and bright and at 4 pm , C and myself left for a drive. We crossed  the SFO Airport and went further down south , neared the SFO Industrial city .We turned west on the High ways and took Route No 1  ( the coastal  road of the Pacific Ocean ,bordering the entire Californea State.) Note:Roads in US were all given numbers by President Isenhover. As you drive on the road  on  the western side ,   you enjoy the pleasnt  sight of the vast expanse of water of the mighty Pacific Ocean .On the  eastern side of the road one looks at a number of say more  or less twenty, at each of which a sufficient area is earmarked as a parking slot for your convenience to park your vehicle and enjoy the sight of the ocean. Virtually each such spot  is beach and is crowded by people; Couples, families , groups of friends  all flock  and spend their time , approaching the Seagod  , touching the water, , splash and play and enjoy.!  

                         The natives of the villages have agricultural lands , groves , flower gardens and grow vegetables. In fact , they take care of the economy of Californea State and also feed the stomach of its people.They have their own houses in the villages .Some of the beaches which we were able to touch that day are   Babycity , Grey whale Cove state beach,Montara state beach,, Half Moon Bay  Venice beach.. We drove down to San Gregareo State beach, Pompanio beach, Pes cadero  state beach .The last mentioned one was the final stop  before our return to Foster city.On the way back , we saw the     SanAndrieas Lake ,about 9 miles away from our pace.. 

          Since, the effect  of Corona virus was  increasing day by day , the US Govt began to take all the possible preventive measures to contain it. Schools,Colleges, Malls,Cinema halls ,Sports grounds,  and other places of public  gatherings  like Churches  and temples  ,were asked to close down with immediate effect from the midnight of 16th March 2020 . Social distance of minimum 6 feet between any two persons wnd personal cleanliness of washing of hands frequently etc were advocated.  People were asked to wear  masks  covering nose and mouth. Unnecessary outings and  walkings on the road were asked to be cut down.Those with more than 65 years of age were  asked to  remain at home.All international  flights were cancelled.Movements in between counties were stopped.

   As days went by, we began to witness the unusual sight of  deserted roads with no vehicular movements , except ambulances transporting the pandemic affected patients and carriers of essential goods ans services. and also empty skies with sparing flights.Otherwise inside every house things were normal , people working from home and students learning lessons via computers and mobiles!   This world wide phenomiman of pandemic would have influenced in every individual a change of life style .One example is, at least out of fear for life, people would have begun to pray.This point one is able to observe from their sharing of Whatsapp messages . God created  time for them to pray , which they ought to have done normally.
